Today’s world is moving with latest technology and now gadgets market are flooded with lot of new big screen mobile phones, a trend started by Samsung Note , one more 5 inch mobile launched in market and this time its Kobian jumping in this mobile segment.
Kobian an IT peripherals company which sells mobiles phones with the brand name Mercury has launched a new 5 inch dual SIM Android phone. The device, called Mercury magiQ, though look like a smartphone, is being referred as a tablet. This device having a big touch screen display and comes with 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor and backed by a 512 MB RAM.
The device as already mentioned comes with a 5 inch capacitive with multi-touch features and it functions on an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor and backed by a 512 MB RAM. MagiQ comes with an internal memory of 4 GB and has a microSD card that allows for up to 32 GB expandable memory.
It comes with both front and a rear camera. It has a VGA front camera and a rear camera that boasts of 12 mega pixels resolution. The phone boasts of 15 days back battery back up and up to 13 hours of talk time.

Mercury magiQ comes with an maximum retail price of Rs 12,700 and is available with 1 year warranty.
The phone will compete with Micromax A100 which is priced at Rs 9,999 only and Spice Stellar Horizon Mi500 that is priced at Rs 12,500. Though on paper Mercury MagiQ is better than these two but both Micromax and Spice have better brand recall in the mobile domain and therefore it will be a challenge for Kobian. However, both the Spice and Micromax are yet to be made available in the market.
